Meet Blake Consentino
I'm a 3rd Generation Ridgefielder, fighting to preserve what makes this town our home.
Rooted in Ridgefield
I'm a proud third-generation Ridgefielder, raised on West Mountain Road, in the same home where my grandmother raised my mother more than fifty years ago — the same home where I hope to one day raise my own children.
Like so many in our town, Ridgefield is more than just a temporary place I live. It is my home, my history, and the family that shaped who I am.
The Values I was Raised With
Public service and community involvement have always been central to my family. Many in town knew my grandfather, Joseph Consentino, through his contributions to local baseball and the arts community at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Others may remember my mother, Susan Consentino, who served on Ridgefield’s Planning & Zoning Commission and dedicated herself to protecting the character, beauty, and future of our town.
Two years ago, after an eight-month battle with stage 4 cancer, I lost my mother who raised me, inspired me, and taught me what it means to fight for the people and places you love.
Her commitment to Ridgefield shaped my own belief that the people who live here should have the strongest voice in deciding our town’s future.
Why I'm Running
I’m running for State Representative because I believe Ridgefield deserves leadership that will fight to preserve what makes this town special.
For too long, decisions impacting communities like ours have increasingly been dictated by outside interests, corporate money, and one-size-fits-all mandates from Hartford. I believe local communities deserve meaningful input in shaping their own future.
Ridgefield was never meant to lose the character, natural beauty, and sense of community that generations of residents have worked so hard to preserve for their posterity.
This campaign is about protecting local control, preserving open space, keeping Ridgefield affordable for those who grew up here, families, and seniors, and ensuring that future generations can continue to call this town home.
